Motor Movements

Included here are 2 movies - one showing the video that is being analyzed including the highlighted area that is sending its luminance values to the motor for positioning coordinates - the other is showing the mechanics and motor's responses.

I had to change motor types from a high-torque continuous rotation servo to a sail-winch servo motor. What is great about this particular motor is its ability to turn 3 full rotations in either direction with incredible positioning accuracy. Where the other motor failed was in its lack of holding a "stall current" for any length of time. The original code would send a position PWM and then another stall PWM to hold still. This not only required a considerable amount of code, but over time it would pull itself out of alignment which would eventually lead to its straining against the mechanical stops of the slide mechanism. Not good, but is no longer a problem thankfully.
